Billing is per paid member. Anyone who takes an action in Slack within a 28-day period counts as active, and paid members who stay inactive can receive a prorated credit for unused time.

  • StructuralPlan tier

Business+ adds Slackbot and the full AI feature set, SCIM provisioning and SAML SSO. It costs $15 per user a month on annual billing, against $7.25 for Pro. Enterprise+ is listed at $45 per user a month on annual billing and adds the compliance, governance and admin controls.

  • MeteredFlex Credits for Slackbot

Business+ includes Slackbot, but higher Slackbot message limits on invoice plans are sold as Flex Credits. Slack publishes no price for them, so they need to be priced through a sales conversation.

Enterprise Key Management (Slack EKM), the Frontline teams module and Success Plan services are sold as add-ons with no published price, so they are added to an Enterprise+ quote.

Slack pricing FAQ

How much does Slack cost?

Slack's Free plan is $0 and free forever. Pro costs $7.25 per user a month billed annually ($8.75 monthly), Business+ costs $15 per user a month billed annually ($18 monthly), and Enterprise+ is listed at $45 per user a month billed annually. All figures are in US dollars.

How does Slack charge?

Slack charges per user per month for each member on a paid plan. A member counts as active for billing if they take an action in Slack within any 28-day period. New members are billed a prorated amount for the rest of the billing period, and paid members who stay inactive can receive a prorated credit. Annual payers can be invoiced and pay by ACH or wire, and billing cycles can be changed at any time.

Does Slack have a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan is free forever and includes 90 days of message history, up to 10 apps, one-to-one huddles, one-to-one external messaging through Slack Connect and Basic AI. It is limited to one workspace. The pricing page does not describe a free trial of the paid plans. The 50% discount on the monthly Pro and Business+ rates applies for three months on eligible upgrades, and it does not apply to annual plans or Enterprise+.

What does Slack cost with add-ons?

Slack does not publish a price for an AI add-on, because Slackbot and AI features are included in Business+ and Enterprise+. Higher Slackbot message limits on invoice plans are sold as Flex Credits, and Enterprise Key Management, the Frontline teams module and Success Plan services are add-ons with no published price. Ask Slack sales to add them to a quote.
